The classic Eames toy, made of images of what the Eameses called "good stuff."
This House of Cards was originally produced in 1952 and actually had two decks, the Picture deck and the Pattern deck. It is the
picture deck that is made today in conjunction with MoMA. The medium House of Cards is a selection of images from
both the Pattern and the Picture deck. The
images chosen celebrate
"familiar and nostalgic objects from the animal, vegetable, and mineral
kingdoms." The six slots on each card enable the player to interlock the
cards to build structures of myriad shapes and sizes. The small deck includes 52 cards playing card size; the medium deck has 32 cards 4-1/2" x 7" and is printed on heavier cardboard stock.
