How To Find Us
Placewares + LyndonDesign Gallery
is located 114 miles North of San Francisco, just off Pacific Coast Highway 1. Although the distance is short in miles, travel is slow because the highway is narrow and quite curvey. From the San Francisco/Bay Area plan on a travel time of about 3 hours.
From the North,
Take the Pacific Coast Highway 1 South to Gualala. We are about 1-1/2 hours south of the town of Mendocino, on the east side of the highway in Cypress Village. If you cross the Gualala River into Sonoma County, you've gone too far!
From the South,
From the San Francisco/Bay Area go north on Highway 101 to Petaluma. Take the E. Washington Street exit to Valley Ford and Bodega Bay. The Pacific Coast Highway 1 will take you through Jenner, past Stewarts Point and The Sea Ranch and on to Gualala. We are just north of the Gualala River, at the Mendocino County mile marker 1. (Once you are in Jenner your drive will be a little over an hour longer.)
From the East,
It is possible to come across the coastal ridge to Highway 1 via Highway 128 to the north or Highway 116 along the Russian River to the south. If you feel adventurous, try the Skaggs Springs Road from Healdsburg to Stewarts Point and then north on Highway 1.
