The Place of Color - Keith Wilson
Keith Wilson invites us to step into a variety of playful architectural spaces in each of his gloriously colored watercolor paintings, which sometimes reveal enclosures, sometimes juxtapositions of facades and towers and gardens. They always celebrate his memory of details and his prolific sketching and observing of buildings and their features. Trained as an architect yet forever drawn to his sketch book as an interpreter of form in classical buildings particularly, Keith offers these wondrous paintings which combine imagination with invention and nod to others’ details in structures built. He is a rare talent and has a keen eye for recording delightful visions on paper.
We are very pleased to herald the work of Keith Wilson, Berkeley artist, architect, teacher. For this exhibition, he is making available some original watercolors, and some limited edition archival prints – including four of special local interest: the remarkably wonderful watercolor paintings of Sea Ranch Condominium One. They are stunning and fresh and engaging.
Be sure to see the collection of Keith Wilson paintings in the our on-line gallery.
