One of Japan's premier designers, Sori Yanagi designed this classic kettle in 1994. It received Japan's Good Design Award in 1998 and is Yanagi's most popular design in Japan. Made of brushed stainless steel and constructed of mainly handmade parts, it has a wide bottom for rapid heating. Its handle is molded to fit the hand beautifully. The handle folds down for easy storage. No whistle will alert you that the water has come to a boil, but putting a few marbles in the kettle will serve as a warning that the kettle has boiled dry, because when the water is all gone they will rattle around and produce quite a racket! 2.5 quart capacity. 5" high, 7" round.
