Caroline has an extensive background in food and cooking, having worked at Chez Panisse in Berkeley, California, and  served as a private chef for a prominent Bay Area family. Additionally, Caroline has worked at Sutti Associates, a thirty five year old company specializing in the design and building of independent grocery stores throughout California. Placewares--the acclaimed design store portion of Placewares+LyndonDesign--was founded by owners Lu Wendel Lyndon and Maynard Hale Lyndon in 1978, in Concord, Massachusetts, and opened in Gualala in 2005. The Lyndons are very excited about adding this "shop within a shop" collection of fine goods, and thrilled to be teaming up with Caroline, a true professional and talent.

The Market at Placewares brings a carefully chosen specialty food collection to the Sonoma/Mendocino coast including fine products from the following producers: Blue Chair Fruit, McEvoy Ranch, June Taylor, Stephen Singer, Rustic Bakery, welovejam and Poco Dolce chocolates, to name a few. The assortment of hand picked artisan food brands strongly partner with Placewares' existing table top brands and design objects such as Heath Ceramics, Bodum, littala, and Marimekko, among many others.
