"Small World" Timothy Richards
Based in historic Bath, England, Timothy Richards has created a unique series of architectural models which portray important aspects of the history of architecture from ancient Greece to the 20th century. Every Timothy Richards model is a hand-made masterpiece. The process begins with Timothy creating a master model from which a complex series of fine silicone moulds are taken. From these, the final models are precision-cast in British gypsum plaster quarried in Lincolnshire, which is among the highest quality plasters in the world. Some models have additional metal and glass elements, and some are handpainted to give finer definition. A number of the models are made in two pieces, so they can be used as bookends.
A small selection of Timothy Richard's models are available below in our On-line Gallery . Please contact us directly for further information of other models available.
