Keith Wilson | The Building Plan Artistically Considered

September 3 - November 20, 2016

Placewares welcomed Keith Wilson back to the gallery for his fifth solo exhibit, an extended series of oil paintings.

Fifteen years after discontinuing his architectural practice, the elements of building plans have drifted into Keith's painting as subjects/objects. While traditional architectural plans are meticulous and regimented, these building plans are expressed as thickened lines representing walls and openings, enclosure of spaces, and the metrics of habitation and containment.

Keith Wilson also exhibited four newly-editioned etchings from copper plates he produced in 1981 demonstrating a 35-year interest in the building plan as an artistic exploration.
