In 2010, MillerGoodman made a book called ‘Faces’ for the Tate. For the book, they made characters out of clay, sculpture, junk, paint – anything they could get their hands on! They wanted to offer a version of their first toy, Shapemaker, which could allow people to play in a similar way – but this time, instead of creating shapes, the emphasis would be on creating faces. This is how Facemaker was born. It has an endless variation of features and characters that can be created using Facemaker. There are all sorts of faces which we recognize, and which make us smile. We hope your imagination and personality will breathe through your designs.
Facemaker is a set of 25 colorful, hand printed, environmentally friendly hardwood blocks made of replenishable rubberwood.
These environmentally-friendly, hand-printed blocks are loads of fun, and whatever your age, you'll be inspired to create. A brochure of examples is included inside every unit.
