Socks Rolled Down

It's not just a tumbler. It's a one-of-a-kind individual with attitude. Sukat Makkaralla, which means “socks rolled down" in Finnish, is a collection of glassware designed by Anu Penttinen. Its relaxed, distinctive shape and colorful spectrum challenge conventional design and re-imagine what glassware can look like. Hand-blown and hand-made, each tumbler is a unique creation.

All Socks Rolled Down glass products are made from colored mouth-blown glass. The coloring agents used will not be released into food; the products are safe to use. The glass is mouth-blown into a mold, i.e. the glassware is handmade and may, therefore, contain random air bubbles. Marimekko's glassware is designed for cold drinks only - the products cannot withstand boiling liquids. The glasses are dishwasher safe, but washing by hand is recommended for the pitcher because of its shape and height. The glasses must not be used as candleholders.
