We met Laurie Rosenwald about 10 years ago via our friend James over Manhattans at Prune in NYC. Shev and Laurie shared a cab home from dinner, and we’ve been in touch ever since. We are thrilled that Laurie is debuting her latest creation, “Melty Jewels,” at Placewares. Made in her studios in NYC and Gothenburg, Sweden, these bold and whimsical objects take Laurie’s widely celebrated graphic work into three dimensions.
This piece features a blue, white and red glass pendant with a white rope string cord.
Material: Glass, Cotton Yarn
Dimensions: 3.7" x 3.2" Glass Pendant, 14" Cord

It's produced in polished steel and has a rubber inner section to close the cap with a pressure and expansion mechanism. Easy to use, insert by pressing and turning clockwise to fit the neck of the bottle. The shape of the object is reminiscent of a classic cork, which hermetically seals champagne bottles and their contents.
